A leading annual auto show in North America will have the Cybertruck on display, just months after Tesla Inc TSLA began deliveries.

Historical Context: Originating in 1901, this event holds a significant place as one of the largest auto shows in North America, showcasing the latest, groundbreaking vehicles.

“The growth of the Chicago Drives Electric indoor EV track signals the industry emphasis, introduction and excitement of new EVs to hit the market, many of which will be seen and experienced for the first time at our show,” said Chicago Auto Show co-general manager Jennifer Morand.

Public’s Interest and Impact: With over one million reservations for the Cybertruck, this public appearance remains crucial as live events showcasing the vehicle have historically drawn massive crowds.

Expanded Presence: Alongside the Cybertruck, Tesla will also showcase the Model 3, Model Y, and Model X at the Chicago Auto Show.

Tesla’s Expanding Presence: According to CBS News, Tesla’s participation in the Chicago Auto Show marks the first time the company has displayed electric vehicles at the event. Notably, Tesla had also participated in the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, marking its first appearance in eight years.
