- Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI) announced the acquisition of 53.81% of the shares in Pagero Group AB from multiple shareholders, including Summa Equity, Pagero’s CEO Bengt Nilsson, and several members of the management team and employees.
- This strategic move solidifies TRI as the majority shareholder in Pagero.
- The company also revealed its decision to increase the price of its recommended public tender offer to purchase 100% of shares in Pagero to SEK 50 per share from SEK 40 per share. This enhanced offer is now unconditional, with a total value of SEK 8.1 billion.
- Pagero’s independent bid committee unanimously recommends that all shareholders accept the revised offer, following Vertex’s withdrawal from the acquisition negotiations earlier in the day.
